- Add Your Music to Spotify Launch the Spotify desktop app and head to Menu Edit Preferences. Then scroll down the settings page and turn on the “Show Local Files” switch. After turning it on.
- To use it, open the Spotify app, select a song, and look for 'Devices Available' on the bottom of the track you're currently playing. In the window that pops up, select the device to which you want.

Reorganize how music is listed in the app.
Sort Playlists, Artists, and Albums in Your Library
- Go to the list you’d like to sort.
- Pull down and release to display Filters in the top-right corner. Tap it.
- Tap your preferred sorting option.
- Repeat these steps to reverse the order, or pick another sort option.
You can also choose to list only Downloads in Your Library.
Sort songs in playlists
For iPhone/iPad:
- Go to the playlist you’d like to sort.
- Pull down and release to display in the top-right corner. Tap it.
Note: To sort Liked Songs, pull down and tap Filters in the top-right corner. - Tap how you’d like to sort e.g. by Recently added.
For Android:
- Go to the playlist you’d like to sort.
- Tap in the top-right corner.
- Tap Sort playlist.
Note: In Liked Songs, tap Sort Liked Songs. - Tap how you’d like to sort e.g. by Recently added.
Note: Sort options may vary depending on the list you’re sorting.

Sort songs in playlists
Tip: This works for Liked Songs in Your Library too.
- Click the column you want to sort by, for example:
- Alphabetically, by TITLE, ARTIST, or ALBUM.
- By most recently added, with .
- By song duration, with .
Tip: Adjust the app's screen size to reveal more columns.
- Click the column again to reverse the order, click it again to return to the original order.
If you created the playlist, you can also drag and drop songs into your preferred position. Just click and hold a song to move it up or down.
Sort playlists in Your Library
Where can you download a emulator for your phone. To reorder your list of playlists in the menu on the left, click and hold a playlist title to move it up or down.
You can also organize your playlists into playlist folders.
Sort Albums and Artists in Your Library
Select Albums or Artists in the menu on the left, and choose a Sorted by option from the dropdown menu.
Filter
Choose to show only specific content within lists, or find a specific song in a playlist.

- Pull the screen down to display Find in playlists/albums/artists at the top. Tap it.
- Enter a search term. Only titles containing that term are now listed.
- To return to the original listing, either clear your search or tap X or Cancel to remove the filter.

iOS 14 has finally arrived and brings with it the much-anticipated widget feature but just how can iPhone users make a Spotify widget on iOS 14?
It’s always an exciting time when a new iOS update is released for iPhones as fans can’t wait to test out all the new features.
In 2020, iOS 14 is set to give the iPhone’s software its biggest shakeup in years as it adds an array of features both large and small.
One of the biggest new additions to feature in iOS 14 is the ability to create widgets which allow users to see info from or use an app without having to actually tap into the app itself.

After it was first announced in June, iOS 14 was finally launched globally on September 16th, 2020.
The newest iteration of Apple’s operating system, available for the iPhone 6S and onwards, introduces the biggest shakeup to the iPhone’s software in years.
The biggest new addition to iOS is the ability to set up widgets on the home screen so you can get information from an app without having to actually open the app itself but beyond that, there are a host of new features that fans are noticing.

Widgets on iOS 14
Widgets are the biggest new addition to iOS 14 as they give iPhone users the ability to quickly access information without having to enter an app itself.
The new widgets, which are available for a host of first and third-party apps on iPhones, are really easy to set up.
- If you have iOS 14 on your iPhone, simply long-press on your home screen until the apps start wiggling and you can move them around or delete them.
- This will bring up a ‘+’ icon in the top left corner of your screen which, once pressed, will show you which widgets you can add you your home screen.
- Choose a widget to add at the size you want and place it where you want it to go. Easy.
How to get a Spotify widget
- At the time of writing, the Spotify app itself does not have a dedicated iOS 14 widget.
However, as a post on the Spotify Community forum suggests, Spotify is looking at implementing this feature in the future.

If you can’t wait for Spotify to create their own widget, however, the app TuneTrack, which allows you to collect all the music apps on your phone into one place, does have a widget function.
To use, simply download the TuneTrack app and log in to your Spotify account on the TuneTrack app itself and repeat the steps as above.
Once you start playing a song through Spotify, the TuneTrack widget should become a Spotify one.

However, as TuneTrack is not a dedicated Spotify app, some users have reported some performance issues.
